Repigmentation of Hands and Feet

The unfortunate fact about the repigmentation of vitiligo patches is that the patient usually needs to have some melanocytes in order to have the healing or the repigmentation process to start. It is seen that the last left melanocytes get gathered in the hair follicles on the human physiques and the patients have a few on hands, feet, elbows and knees. It is witnessed that the areas like face, chest, arms and legs on human body where normally the people have lost of hair follicles, have the tendency for repigmenting first in spite of the treatment type – whether the treatment be a corticosteroid like Protopic or Elidel or UVB Narrow Band.
