Journal Watch Dermatology on October 27, 2004 published a retrospective research based around the surgical intervention in 64 patients affected by Vitiligo from India that gives the new wave of hope for the patients suffering from Vitiligo. A suspension of autologous melanocytes and keratinocytes was transplanted by the investigators into a few of the lesions of 49 cases of segmental and 25 cases of focal Vitiligo.
